If a patient comes in for a consult for an Umbilical Hernia and Doc writes that exam is normal - no hernia found. How do I code the visit so it gets paid? Please help! Thanks!

You would code it the same way you would for any other consult, based on the elements documented. For an ICD-10 code, you can use Z03.89 for a suspected condition ruled out as a primary reason for the visit, or other appropriate codes for any symptoms or conditions as the documentation indicates.
