I am interested in knowing if anybody has coded 31629, the above procedure for 2 providers of the same specialty before, and if so is it required that both surgeons dictate a note? My thoughts are that both providers should have a dictated note for the actual service which they provided. I have checked on the Local Medicare website to determine if there is a LCD which I have not been able to find. If anybody has coded this is it common for 2 providers to perform this service? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
