I am working in a Surgeons office that performs FNA under Ultrasound guidance. When performed in the office in order to bill do you need to be certified in radiology to bill? Also, for the documentation do you need a template for the initial ultrasound study prior to FNA or biopsies and then another ultrasound showing the FNA or Biopsy? I am looking on the ACR web site and have found some documentation but needed more clarification.
