Need help billing urine drug screenings that are done in a family practice setting. The reason for the UDS is for medication monitoring. We take the urine but then send it out to the lab.
 
What about the CPT for the UDS?

The lab should bill the patient's insurance for that, unless you are paying the lab directly for the tests. The CPT will depend on the tests done and method used. You'll have to be a little more specific. Look at the 803xx set of codes. For Medicare, see the G0477-G0483 set of codes.
