I am embarrased to even ask this...

Pt comes in, we do a dip ua in office, then send to lab for micro and culture. We do bill office so lab bills us and we bill pt ins.

What codes should i be charging???? I get so confused with this urinalysis codes.

81002 is the code for a u/a dip done in the office. The lab shouldn't be billing you for sending the u/a for culture to them. . .they should be billing the patients insurance and then the patient, if there is PR left after pymt.
