Ugh. This one is giving me a headache and I'm at my wit's end researching this. The dr did an u/s of the groin/femoral artery in our office. We normally perform u/s and I have no other issues coding them out. LOL He's decided to throw me for a loop. I'm hoping someone with "fresh eyes" can maybe point me in the right direction.
The patient was seen with a history of possible aneurysm in her groin. The patient's left groin was examined. The diameter of the femoral vein is 0.78 cm to 0.62 cm. Photographs were taken of this area. There appeared to be some degree of calcific plaque present, but not hemodynamically significant.
