We are a pain clinic and call in patients for pill counts and urine drug screens. We had a patient bring in his meds to be counted and provide a urine sample. The patient could not provide the sample and was asked to return in two days to do so. The MA counted the pills only. Can I bill for both encounters, the pill count one day and then the sample two days later? Using 99211 on the pill count only and G0434 for providing the urine sample. Thanks for your help?
