I need help with this one please!!
Federal BCBS patient is admitted with possible rectal bleeding.
- 8:00am Colonoscopy with irrigation for 65 minutes.
Findings: 1. Previously ablated AVM had no s/s of bleeding
2. There was 300cc of freshly clotted blood on descending colon.
- 6:30pm Colonoscopy with control of bleeding
Findings: Areas of angioectasia were found in the cecum. Epinephrine was applied to control bleeding.
Should I use -76 for the second colonoscopy? It is not exactly the same procedure.
