Please help..
I code for a multi provider General surgeon group and we had a patient that we did a wide local excision on the pinkey toe which after path came back with positive margins... A second or session lead to the amputation of that toe. I would assume it would be approprate to bil for the amputation of the toe not the re-excision since the end result was no toe? We do not do these types of procedures often so I am just not totally sure and any thoughts would be helpful.
