Hello,

Got a denial from Texas Medicaid for J1100 & J0696 with the following:
00211: Injections when alternative drug or route is possible require modifier.

Looking for help!
 
Have you looked into: The use of the JA (ADMINISTERED INTRAVENOUSLY) and JB (ADMINISTERED SUBCUTANEOUSLY) modifiers is required for drugs which have 1 HCPCS Level II (J or Q) code but multiple routes of administration. Drugs that fall under this category must be billed with JA Modifier for the intravenous infusion of the drug or billed with JB Modifier for subcutaneous injection of the drug. ---per CMS, source attached.

Thanks Tommy, I have already tried these modifiers but got denial for same reason:(
