Hello, I want to know if the telehealth office visit can be billed for the following situation.
Commercial insurance patient had a telehealth office visit, and Dr.X advised him to go to the ER after getting HOPI, and some labs were reviewed which did not look good; leading to IP admission. Dr.Y of the exact same subspecialty checks the patient, and bills an initial IP E/M code. Is the telehealth office visit with Dr. X billable?
