Wiki Telehealth POS change

POS for telehealth depends on insurance. some insurance is ok with telehealth but POS is 11 (office) but some need POS as 2 (telehealth).

If I'm not mistaken, please don't take this the wrong way, but like you said some insurances are different but I thought the majority for telehealth used POS 02 w/ modifier 95. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Hi there, do you mean POS 10? If so, it will depend. Medicare won't adopt it www.cms.gov/files/document/mm12427-newmodifications-place-service-pos-codes-telehealth.pdf. But UHC will use 02 and 10 www.uhcprovider.com/content/dam/provider/docs/public/policies/comm-reimbursement/COMM-Telehealth-and-Telemedicine-Policy.pdf
However, I don't expect it to affect payment.

as far as i know since 01/01/2021 unitedhealth care, BCBS federal and aetna are using modifier 95 with POS 2 but other commercial are modifier 95 and POS 11.
