I have a question. When a patient receives a Synvisc injection in an ambulatory surgery center, doesn't the facility bill for the Synvisc drug?

Generally, yes, as most ASC or outpatient facilities provide the material used in the course of the service. Unless the provider is bringing the drug with him or purchasing the Synvisc from the facility; it would be the purchaser (which is generally the facility) who would bill for the drug.
 
I agree - sometimes my doc brings med from our office...in which case we charge for supply.
