I am coding a surgery for a Medicare patient who has an existing autologous femoral-tibial bypass graft that was constructed with her own vein. That vein has now thrombosed and our physician has performed a Bovine pericardial patch angioplasty of the femoral anastamosis of her vein graft.
Does anyone have any idea about whether 35883 would be alright to use for this, even though it states that the bypass graft is "nonautologous?" I cannot seem to find a code for synthetic patch graft/revision of autologous bypass graft.
