Good Afternoon - I have a physician that was providing swallow studies at an facility in which many patients were in an inpatient stay. Therefore the code 92616 was being denied by Medicare for place of service conflict. She has been getting reimbursed for the interpretation and report only 92617. She is now asking if she can just report the 31575 which is normally inclusive of code 92616 instead of billing 92616. I don't feel it is appropriate especially when there is a speech pathologist providing the study with her, although she brings her own scope because the facility does not have one.

Any assistance is extremely appreciated.
