I'm new at Ortho procedures. Hope you can help!!
Could you please help me with the CPT code for surgical treatment of finter tip amputation with debridement, distal interphalangeal disarticulation and primary closure? Thanks!

sounds to me like you would use 26951 - we refer to this as a revision amputation in my office. the primary amputation was the injury itself, and the revision or secondary amputation is the removal of tissues and bone with direct closure. both primary and secondary amputations use the same code.
