Excision of hidradenitis... CPT lists 3 different codes for 3 different areas: inguinal, axillary and perianal/perineal/umbilical. The surgeon excised 5 separate areas of hidradenitis from the scalp; there is no CPT code to address scalp hidradenitis. Pathology confirms diagnosis of hidradenitis. Would excision of benign scalp lesion be appropriate to use?
