Wiki Supervising Signature for Midlevels

We have recently switched from paper charts to EMR. In the past we have always had the physician that was supervising the midlevel to sign their office note but now that we are in EMR we are wondering if that is correct. Who is actually supposed to sign the midlevel's note the doctor in the office that day or the doctor that follows the patient? I think I know the answer but would like confirmation Thank you for your input
