Hello:

I am a recent CPC-A and a volunteer at a local hospital's billing department for the past two years. I took a test at the hospital's coding department and passed the test. They really like me and my work as a volunteer. It's been a month since I took the test and passed but still there is no opening as far as I have checked the hospital's website (I check the website everyday) I don't know how to go about after this for the next steps. I also would like to know if they have any openings which they do not post it in their website. I really love this hospital and will be very happy if I get employed. Any suggestions how I should follow this up? Thanks in advance.
 
I would say to continue to check their website for openings. You also mentioned that you volunteered for two years. You can take that past experience and apply for openings at other organizations, clinics, hospitals, insurance companies. Good luck!
