Hey folks,
I have a new plastic surgeon who does Lipectomy for gynecomastia.
Should I code it with 19300-52 or just code 15877 [15877-59] for each breast treated?
excerpt:
...We began by instilling tumnescent 300 cc into each breast along our
planned liposuction sites. 10 minutes was allowed for maximal hemostatic effect.
We then performed suction assited lipectomy via a lateral stab incision on the
right side using a 3 mm then a 4 mm byron cannula. A total of 300 of
lipoaspirate was removed from the right. We then turned our attention to the
left side. A total of 300 cc of lipoaspirate was removed from the left side
using a similar technique. The fat was redistrubted using a 4 mm byron cannula
and care was taken to ensure there were no contour abnormalities...
Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
