Can anyone tell me if an physician group can bill for Subsequent inpatient neonatal critical care, per day, for the evaluation and management (99468-99469/99472) on a CMS-1500 claim form the same time the Hospital billed for NICU charges with Rev code 174? Isnt this double billing? I never seen a bill from a physician for inpatient care at the same time a provider billed for inpatient room and board charges.
