We have a SNF that will not make payment. Does anyone else have this issue? If so do you have a protocol setup to deal with this issue?
 
Thanks for the reply. Did you send a letter to the SNF prior to reporting them to Medicare? We're trying to get a protocol in order so after X amount of times of refusing to pay we send a letter stating we'll be reporting them to Medicare. Just wondering others protocol. Does anyone have sample letters they send to SNF's that don't pay?
 
I don't have a sample letter but I'd recommend so that you have a 'tracking system' in case this goes to court a:
* Request for payment
* Final Request with intent of report to Medicare
* Report to Medicare cc Head of SNF.

This, I think (Could be wrong), would provide that you gave due diligence in attempting to collect from the SNF.
