Do you have NCCI edits available to you to check as you code? Do you have a link to them and have to go on the site every time. How do you check them? Thanks, just starting out in ortho.

I would suggest either buying the AAPC Coder which will give you CCI edits, or go to the CMS website, download the CCI edits for the CPT code ranges you most use, save the tables to your computer, then when you are set to code, just open the CCI tables and have them as a tab on your computer. It is tedious to look up each code, so software that does claim scrubbing is best.

I also use the AAPC Coder. Very practical and user friendly, quick and easy. I love it.

Thank you

Supercoder is outrageously expensive. Do they have a just ncci option? I am paying myself. I think the AAPC might be way to go.

I use AAPC Coder, CodeX, and the NCCI Manuals to code if the payer uses NCCI edits. If you cannot afford CodeX, use AAPC Coder. It been a huge help so far.
