The GI doctor that I bill for did an endoscopic sphincteroplasty rather than a sphincetotomy. Because of a malformation, he felt the patient would be at less risk with a sphincteroplasty. I am able to locate the code the sphincteroplasty - done surgically, but not through a scope. Can someone let me know if you have a code that would cover this?
