We have a new podiatrist in our office, and he said there's a code book for podiatry specifically, and it contains CPT codes that are not in the standard CPT book. Is this true? We ordered the book he recommended, Coding Companion 2016: Podiatry, a comprehensive illustrated guide to coding and reimbursement, but I'm wondering if it really does have codes that aren't in the regular book, or does it just consolidate codes from that book, that pertain specifically to Podiatry. Any info would be appreciated.
