Having difficulties getting sleep study claims paid... Our process is that we send the pts home with sleep study kits and we send the results to a provider to score and then we bill the insurance with codes 95806 line 1 and 95806 line 2 with a TC Modifier , and CPT G47.33 OR G47.30... Any assistance you can provide will be appreciated... thanks

If you are instructing the patient on how to do the sleep study and using your equipment, you should be billing 95806 with the TC modifier. The provider reading it will bill with the 26 modifier.
You should be using the ICD 10 for which ever dx applies. If there is no evidence of apnea, we use the dx that lead to the test being done.

Thank you soooo much The provider is instructing and using her own sleep study kits and she is also reading it. so should she be sending in 2 separate claims one with the 95806 and TC modifier and once she reads it then bill the 95806 with the 26 Mod. but both should not be billed on the same day correct??
