30520 and 30140 RT was done.
Thick mucoid pus was exuding from the max sinus and this was cultured (came back staph aureus and propionibacterium). Once completed, proceeded to the max ostium. cannulated and Luma guidewire and was then widened. With guidewire still in place, a vortex cath was placed so the sinus could be lavaged. Copious purulence continued to be expressed, so we lavaged with a tota of 120cc of saline until clean. Because of disease was obviously purulent did not enter ethmoid sinuses.
My question is balloon is used but infection was removed.....31256 or still just 31295 and culture included......
