My physician did an SI arthrodesis on a patient and the diagnosis he listed was SI joint pain. According to CMS, that's not an acceptable diagnosis. Can I use the arthrodesis status code V54.4? It's not listed as an acceptable diagnosis either but that's the only other one I can come up with. Thanks for your help
