I am looking for some advice on 2014 correct coding of an open-mini rotator cuff repair with arthroscopic subacromial decompression. The latest documented information from the AAOS that we have is from 2012 where they advise for CPT 23410 or 23412 you can no longer report 29826, but you can report 29822 or 29823 (limited or extensive debridement) as appropriate. I have received a recent denial from an auto insurance when we billed 23410 and 29823 stating per NCCI these cannot be billed separately??? Any help or guidance to further supporting documentation on how this should correctly be done would be greatly appreciated! Thank you
