What is your opinion if a doctor does an arthroscopic SLAP, Acromioplasty, Distal Clavicle Excision and then converts to open and does Rotator Cuff Repair. I know that I've read that if a scope is converted you can only bill the open part of the procedure, but it seems so wrong not to be able to bill all the scope work since that was the majority of the sx. Is there some way to bill for all or some catch phrase or reasoning to use in order to be permitted to bill for all?

You would bill all of your scope procedures as well as the open rtc repair. I don't believe there are any bundling edits so you should be fine. Now if the physician started the rtc repair through the scope then finished open you would only bill the open part of the procedure (in addition to the other scope procedures). Hope that helps. :)
