Wiki Shoulder coding

Thanks for responding

Why 29822 instead of 29823?
Why not 29825, 29824, 29823, 29822, & 20610?

Can you please explain/help me understnad?

29822 is for limited debridement....you really need to apply the debridement codes to the op note which in this case is not posted, I think it was for the G/H head.

29823 is for extensive....G/H head & labrum & biceps, or significant defect of G/H head, again the dictation must specify.

29825 is for lysis of adhesions....after previous sx or previous scope scar tissue builds up and the patient has limited mobility and the scar tissue has to be removed and manipulated, the manipulation is included with this and other scope codes.

29824 is for removal of part of the distal clavicle for arthritis, exostosis (spurs).

20610 is for injection of major joint (shoulder being one) BUT is included with shoulder scope codes unless it is for the opposite shoulder.
