Modifier use
I would read the descriptions of each modifier in the coding manuals. I would also suggest visiting the NCCI edits site for both Medicare and Medicaid to educate yourself on proper modifier use to align with NCCI edits.

A great coders resource is "coding with modifiers: A guide to correct CPT and HCPCS Level II modifier usage" put out by the AMA
