How would someone bill shared OB care with another medical facility? Would it be billed like the antepartum visits?
Both facilities would be seeing the patient for OB care up until the last trimester and then our facility would do the delivery.
 
Shared OB Care

You would have to have a reciprocity agreement with the other OB Group with details outlining who will bill what. Most insurance companies will not pay for split OB care. They want either a delivery only and antepartum only (usually due to a transfer of care) or a global fee. Our Docs cover call and deliver at times for other groups however, we have a reciprocity agreement that they will bill if it is a patient of theirs and we will bill if it is our patient. Little different scenario than what you are describing, but hope it helps.
