I am looking for help on a question my doctor has asked me. He is going to start implementing shared medical appointments with some of our patients in our office. Our office lease is up in the fall and he is wanting to move to a different location(s). The question is are we able to bill e/m visits if we move to different locations as part of a timeshare? Such as space in another office, hospital, etc. Do we have to add each location to our Medicare and private payers contracts to see patient? If not what place of service code would we use? I would appreciate any comments, questions, and/or advice. Thank you.

from my experience you will need to add the new service address to your medicare enrollment as well as your private insurance contracts.
