Question for any of you who are involved with setting the fee schedule for your office ---- do you use any particular product? We used Physicians’ Fees on Disk in the past, but it is no longer available. We received it as a spreadsheet that was very easy to manipulate and upload directly to our PM system. I have seen several other things, but only available in book form, which would be much more tedious to work with.

The Physicians’ Fees on Disk had RVU data, as well as a High and Low range of recommended fee, based on data from multiple payers and providers from around the country. We set our fee at a specific percentage within that range.


Does anyone have any recommendations for something similar?

I work for a Local Health Department. The way we set our fees is by comparing Medicaid's fee schedule and a commercial plan (usually BCBS because we see it a lot) and we use the higher fee on our fee schedule.
 
While I am not currently setting fees, this is something I have done in the past. I believe the ease or amount of complication is directly related to the capabilities of your EHR system. We used a very integrated system that allowed me in less than a minute, to update across the board the entire fee schedule - either by a percentage increase or by a dollar amount per RVU. You may want to check with your EHR vendor if this is a feature.
 
We strictly see medicaid patients. We bill $1 over the medicaid fee schedule. The $1 over is just so if Medicaid pays the full billed amount then I know I need to check their fee schedule because things changed.

This AAPC website has an RVU calculator. You might already know about it but I'll link it anyway just in case. I am sure there are plenty of things on the AAPC website I am unaware of that could help me :)
