Wiki Sentinel Node Biopsy Diagnosis Help

Hi, I have a patient that has invasive ductal carcinoma. A sentinel node biopsy was done and it came back negative for metastatic cancer. The biopsy was done the same time as her lumpectomy, which showed invasive ductal carcinoma. Any help I could get would be greatly appreciated.

diagnosis is the breast cancer. that was the reason they did the sentinel node.

I agree, breast cancer is the reason for the sentinel node biopsy. They are making sure it hasn't spread to the lymph nodes.

I was thinking the same thing, but I wasn't 100% sure. Thanks for your help
