abeo is a nationwide medical billing and software company focused on delivering anesthesiology groups and ambulatory surgery centers with medical billing, transcription, and coding services; financial and consulting business services; and billing management software. We are currently looking for a Senior Certified Medical Coder with anesthesia coding experience to work out of our Frederick, MD office. This is not a remote position.
Requirements:Minimum of five (5) years coding experience in a medical coding unit required.
?Coding experience for anesthesia, ASC, and inpatient services a plus.
?Knowledge of ICD-10.
?Knowledge of medical records coding procedures.
?Knowledge of medical terminology, DRG, CPT and ICD-9 coding, Medicare, Medicaid, and other insurance procedures.
?Experience in claims procedures.
?Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with coworkers as well as physicians.
?Portray high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
?Ability to work well under little guidance.
?Good investigative and organizational skills.
?Skill in exercising initiative, judgment, and decision-making to achieve organizational objectives.
?Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
?Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
?Ability to perform audits and coding seminars/education as needed.
