OBJECTIVE
Pursuing a professionally rewarding position within the general disciplines of medical billing and services where my experience and skills can be effectively utilized.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience of more than 15 years and in-depth knowledge of Medical Billing procedures and documents.
Background experience reflecting knowledge in the following:
CPEDC Certified coder for Pediatrics
CPR Certified
Computerized billing with Mars NetPractice
Secondary insurance filing
HCFA 1500, HMO'S, PPO'S, Medicare, Workman's Compensation, Lien's, MVA, AHCCCS
Private insurance within the timely filing guidelines
Experience in billing capitated and fee for service
CPT coding and ICD-9 coding, medical terminology, HIPPA
Supervise and train new employees
Handle pre collections, collections, ERA's, EFT, delinquent accounts, accounts receivables, posting charges, posting payments from an EOB, contractual adjustment, deductibles, co-insurance, etc.
Daily duties include mail, mail returns, bank deposits, petty cash, insurance verification, insurance follow up, reports, electronic billing, paper billing, confirmation reports, identifying and resolving claims billing issues, denials, resubmissions, grievances, appeal letters, refunds from beginning to end, efficient and accurate10 key by touch, scheduling, multi-line phone system, referrals, prior auth, data entry, and credentialing.
ACHIEVEMENTS
Highly developed office skills responsible for all assigned functions both with patients and medical professionals. Ability to function well in stressful situations. Effective communication and telephone courtesy. Strong organizational skills. Self motivated and commitment to quality performance.
