I am posting here as i want suggestions for a breakthrough job in healthcare, basically i am from India but in US (VA) now , i am a medical graduate have extensive experience as medical adjudicator of health claims and preauthorization i did not find any job even entry level , i pushed myself to do CPC with a good percentage 90% but that does not count in august 2024 , even then no luck , working on practicode presently, still i face rejection even for entry level jobs as patient access representative level I , i have professionally made my resume even but no luck even for CPC-A related jobs who do not require experience like judge , CSI , i don't know i feel stuck
Applied like that earlier after professionally done i don't do it because again the words will change so what's the need to professionally do a resume.
i just want to know where and why i am failing in all my attempts i just want to know where and why i am failing.
For this i volunteer as an education officer for Alexandria chapter , VA , but still no Luck.
Can anyone suggests what is blocking and how to work on it

Much like with dating, the reason one person hasn't found a job match could be very different than the reason another hasn't.
Glancing at your resume, it appears you have years of coding experience yet your certification is CPC-A. Many employers will not hire with CPC-A. I would look into having the -A removed.
I know you indicated your resume was professionally done. However, it looks like all your job experience with different employers and different titles is all mashed together. You also state you are the Education Officer for your local AAPC chapter, but that is not on your resume.
If you are applying and not getting any responses, I would strongly look at those areas. If you are getting interviews, but no further, your resume is less likely the issue.
My other suggestion is regarding your post. Remember that other AAPC members, including those that hire, see your posts. Keep all correspondence in a very professional manner. While there is nothing negative in the attitude of your post, grammar, punctuation and sentence structure is hardly present. If someone is hiring and part of the responsibility is writing appeal letters to payors, or correspondence with providers, seeing your post will not instill confidence that you can perform that task in a professional manner.
There are dozens of posts about the type of positions to be looking for other than "medical coder" if you search.
My final piece of advice is a cover letter. I know some hiring managers love them, and some won't even read them. Particularly when you have moved across the world, and have the medical knowledge you do, a cover letter could help. It certainly wouldn't hurt your chances of landing an interview.
The resume (and possibly cover letter) are to help you land the interview. Your professional, positive attitude and knowledge during the interview is what lands the job.
Good luck!!

Thank you so much for taking the time to provide such thoughtful feedback! I really appreciate your insights.
I understand that having the apprentice (CPC-A) status may limit my opportunities, but i wanted to ask whether this could be affecting even those roles that do not require prior experience- such as preauthorization, insurance verification, patient access representative, medical records clerk, surgery scheduler and so on. Despite applying to such roles , i often receive only an acknowledgement email , followed by a rejection, without any interview opportunity
Your advice about maintaining professionalism in posts is well taken. I certainly want to present myself in the best way possible, and I'll be more mindful of grammar and structure moving forward..
I also have a cover letter that i share along with my resume, though i didn't share it here.
Again , I really appreciate your guidance . Thanks so much!
