Wiki secondary infection from the removal of the infected prosthesis? ICD 10 Question

Patient had his infected hip prosthesis removed in Oct, came back to hospital in Jan with a new infection, that was a result from the surgery to remove the infected prosthesis- would you still code it as the infected prosthesis or would you have it coded as a new post op infection?

If the prosthesis was not replaced then: A New Post op infection with a 78 modifer.

If there was a replacement of the prosthesis then: infected prosthesis with a 78 modifer.
