I'm a little confused on what actually qualifies to bill a specialty care transport. The paramedics have additional training required by the state. My question is does just monitoring heparin or blood transfusion qualify as a specialty care transport?
 
Must be interfacility
Patient must be critically ill or critically injured.
The level of service must be beyond the scope of the EMT-Paramedic
