Wiki Screening via stoma

Dr did a colono via stoma and flex sig. for cancer screening. The cpt code for diagnostic colonoscopy via stoma is 44388, but what is it for screening??? Medicare doesn't like the screening dx codes with the 44388 or the G0105.

There isn't a screening CPT for colon through stoma. We do these on rare occassion and I bill out 44388/G0104. G0105 is not a screening flex sig.

Our old MAC was NGS and we had no problems with this. We have sinced moved to WPS, but I haven't had to send them one of these cases yet.

The g0105 wasn't for the flex sig., but contemplated it for the colono. It was the only screening colono code i could come close to. Thank you so much for the response! I'm the only biller and dont have anyone here to bounce things off of.
