Wiki Screening coding for medicare colonoscopies

I have been told that california medicare won't accept the standard screening code icd9 v76.51 for a general colonoscopy screening...that it has to be submitted as code v12.72 instead. Is that true? (of course, i will be converting these to icd10 codes for any claims for dos 10/1/15 and beyond)
