Wiki S2083 and assistant surgeon

Can an assistant bill for S2083? I have a PA that wants to submit for this charge in addition to the phyisician. I have checked a couple INS carriers policies and it is seems to be okay. any information for or against and sited documentation would be great. Thanks in advance

Why is it necessary to have an assistant for this? Seems pretty trivial and doubt if they will pay unless you can show necessity.
