Does anyone have any experience with professional billing for RNFA (Registered Nurse, First Assist)? Specifically in the state of Louisiana. I cannot find information to support billing for RNFA. I also cannot find anything supporting credentialing with Medicare, Medicaid, or major commercial insurances like Blue Cross of LA.

RNFAs are not credentialed by Medicare so cannot bill for their services. Medicaid is a state by state determination. For other entities its again a insurer by insurer basis so you would have to check. I believe there are 15-20 states that have laws governing RNFA reimbursement.
