I can't seem to find anything that would indicate the risk on blood transfusions. Does anyone have input or information where it would fall on the Risk Table?

I'm not sure that the transfusion itself would be at any higher or lower risk that the actual condition you're transfusing for, so alone, a transfusion wouldn't be any more risky than IV additives.

If you think about the conditions for which you'd need to transfuse, along with the potential issues when you do infuse-- such as iron overload or reactions, you're probably going to have a better idea of the overall risk to the patient than just considering the transfusion as an element of risk by itself.
