LEFT RIB SERIES WITH FRONTAL VIEW CHEST
CLINICAL HISTORY: MVA with left chest pain
FINDINGS: Lungs bilaterally are clear and well inflated. There is no pneumothorax. There is no vascular congestion or pleural effusion. The cardiac, mediastinal and hilar contours are within normal limits. Left rib detail films do not demonstrate a fracture or other focal bony abnormality.
IMPRESSION: Negative frontal view of the chest and left rib detail series as above.

CHEST, ONE VIEW
CLINICAL HISTORY: MVA yesterday. Left upper quadrant chest pain and posterior left rib pain.
FINDINGS: Lateral view of the chest is normal. The spine demonstrates intact alignment without evidence of compression deformity. No pleural effusion is identified. There is no retrosternal soft tissue mass and the sternum as visualized appears intact as well, without evidence of fracture.
IMPRESSION: Negative lateral view of the chest.
