Good Morning. We have a patient who had a vasectomy this year and does not like the feeling of the clips inside his body. Dr agreed to remove them and cauterize the ends instead along with revision of vasectomy.
Should we use the unlisted code on this? 55899? I can't find any other code that works. Thanks.

Hello Ehughes
I'd use dx N50.82 scrotal pain , T83.84 complication of urinary devices and CPT 55120. once all documented. Also if redoing surgery add modifier 78 on it ensure provider adds in notation why removing and returning again.
