Dr is doing a revision of a previous Total Hip Arthroplasty.
He removed and replaced the acetabulum and the femoral head. ( not the stem)

Is that 27134 ?

and do you know of any articles or other documentation that would verify what code
to use ?

Appreciate any help/feedback.
 
Yes, you are using the correct code. If you read the description in the CPT book it states "the femoral head is excised, osteophytes are removed, and acetabulum is reamed out before replacement is inserted in the femoral shaft." Hope that is helpful!
