Wiki return to hospital

Patient had surgery and was discharged. Ended up with complications and returned for hospital stay during post op period. No additional surgery performed. Any modifier I can attach to this for Medicare?

mod 24 if return to hospital dx is different than surgery dx

For Medicare patients, you can only charge for complications if there is a return to the operating room.
